Red makes such a huge appearance around the holidays and then it’s totally gone as soon as January 1st hits. I’m totally changing that in my wardrobe with the new purchase of this J.Crew Parka coat! This red coat has been on my wish list since last year, and I regretted not getting it. When this season rolled around and it came back in their collection, I was literally ecstatic. I put off buying it a few times, since it’s not included in any of their usual promotions. A few weeks ago, the beloved parka was finally included in their promo. I took it as a sign and bought it as fast as I could as a little birthday treat for myself (and I’m so glad because my size sold out the next day during the sale). With the obscene amounts of snow I’m sure we will be getting, this red coat will be one bright spot in my day, that’s for sure. If this J.Crew style in the red parka coat is a little out of your budget, J.Crew Factory makes an option that’s considerably less and currently on sale for $139!

I also have been getting a ton of wear out of these over the knee boots. They’ve become such a huge trend – coming in both heeled and flat versions! I’m surprised at how versatile they are as well. To be honest, before getting them I thought I may not wear them too much, but I’ve worn them with denim and sweaters for casual looks (coming soon to the blog), all black for a more dressy look, and with some of my nicer coats for church and other events. I highly suggest investing in a pair if you haven’t already, and fortunately they’re also available in tons of different price points. Check out a few I’ve rounded up below!

I love the red color of this coat! I debated about getting the J.Crew version but ultimately decided to get the Factory version, although I think they’re so similar. Can’t wait to see more outfits featuring this coat!

I love the triangle detailing on the zipper of your coat! I do the same thing- I sit on an item I really want and watch it for weeks before buying. I love getting a good deal!
