Weekend Treats // Vol.2

Alright, hold on. Before you get all ‘this isn’t healthy on me’ – let’s chat.

I don’t believe in store bought popcorn. It’s pretty much of bag of chemicals exploding and then being placed in your body. Yuck. I do, however, believe there are plenty of ways to enjoy this delicious, movie-coveted snack. This weekend treats post from a few weeks ago is a savory option to try, but for you sweet teethers (because who only has one sweet “tooth”) this is just the recipe to try. And what’s even better? It’s super quick. Trust.

I was craving a little sweet treat a few weeks ago while put up in bed and couldn’t stop thinking about the caramel popcorn my friend Sarah had made while on my California trip. So I decided to find a “healthier” version, naturally, than the sugar/butter clad typical caramel – and well, here you have it! Let’s get down to business..

Just a quick note – you do not have to bake the popcorn in the oven. I enjoyed a full bowl before even popping this into the oven (I couldn’t help myself) and it tasted nearly the same. So that step is completely up to you 🙂 Keeping it short + sweet today. I’ve recovering from having the stomach flu this week (blah) on top of being bedridden with this darn back. Prayers are appreciated for a speedy recovery!
