Another NYFW is in the books, and guys.. let me tell you, this one was brutal. And by brutal, I mean the weather. I spaced out my schedule to be much more doable than other seasons, and paced myself each day, taking time to eat (3 meals a day is lucky during fashion week!), constantly carrying water, and even taking some midday naps. Aside from losing my voice and being congested, I felt like I had the upper hand on fashion week this go around. But boy, the weather took a turn for the worse and it was absolutely frigid in the city, with wind chill temperatures in the negatives.

I wore this crochet hem dress the first full day I was in New York. I recently featured it on my snapchat and wasn’t sure if I should keep it or not – but clearly I decided to keep this crochet hem dress and was so glad because it was super comfortable to wear for a day running around to shows. (This dress also just got marked down!) I paired it with my over the knee boots + layered up with a coat, scarf (not pictured), and gloves. Thursday was super windy and about 5 minutes into taking these photos, I thought I was going to catch hypothermia!

A side note on these over the knee boots. I’ve had a few of  you ask me whether they sag, fall down, stay up, etc. Truth be told, I’m disappointed in this pair! I’ve worn them in the past for different shoots, but never for hours at a time, and I was constantly pulling them up, retying them, or just letting them fall to my ankles because I couldn’t keep stopping on the street. I always want to be 100% transparent with you guys, so would suggest investing in the Stuart Weitzman Highland instead. I personally don’t have a pair, but several of my blogger friends do, and they all have only positive things to say!

Hope you all are staying warm this week. Don’t forget to shop the Nordstrom Clearance sale that started yesterday!

Yep, the weather hasn’t been that kind but then again, you were there, at the FW, have conquered the cold and that’s all that matters. 🙂
Looking beautiful in this simple but stylish combo! Your dress is perfect!

This is a great look – the weather was SO cold for NYFW, I could hardly stand it. Definitely wanted to stay in bed 😉

That bag is so pretty and not something I have seen around before. I really like how you outfit is very structured and sophisticated, but the dress is a little more relaxed. It adds texture and colour.

Thanks Lindsay! The bag is Henri Bendel – one of my favorites for quality bags!
