Decorating a home of any kind or size is no easy task. I’ve been in my apartment since October and it’s not nearly done – but I’ve wanted to get pieces I truly love and will have for years versus just filling it up quick with meaningless pieces. I’m hardly into the decorating for seasons stage, but am craving spring touches and colors like nobody’s business to brighten things up. Things are starting to come together though, and I am so excited to be sharing more of #cusphome with you all soon!
The furniture in my apartment is mainly neutral tones and colors – think white, creams, and grays. I want things to feel warm and inviting every time I walk in, so I’ve created a space that is bright, clean, and happy! A neutral palette makes it so easy to add color with art, decor, throws, and pillows.
One of the easiest things to switch out from season to season are pillows – I love this multicolored chevron pillow and fun ikat-ish print for spring/summer. (I love this navy + mint ikat print!) Pick out one color in each of the pillows to accent, and use these tassel throws for your ottoman or accent chairs. I’m currently on the hunt for lamps for my side tables – I literally feel like I’ve looked at every lamp on the planet at this point. This basketweave base lamp and this Herringbone base lamp are great for a little reading nook table, or a small console in your hallway. Speaking of console, I love this dove gray console (and this one) – it can totally double as a nightstand too! Think outside the box and use pieces in ways they aren’t necessarily expected to. Art is one of the hardest things (I think) about decorating. I can never make up my mind! A safe bet is always black and white prints and I’m obsessed with this one of a quiet little Venice canal.
I spent the majority of this weekend getting my place a bit more organized! I got some organizational things from Ikea and started to put my office together with the pieces that have arrived so far. I already love everything in there, and can’t wait for it to be done!
I’ve been looking at that second lamp at target for a while! It is so cute!

I totally agree that a neutral palette is the way to go! It makes it easier to decorate from season to season. I love your home decor taste and these picks are fabulous! Hope you’re doing well, pretty lady!
