Reflection (Part 2)

And so we are into week 3 of 2012 and Marissa is just finishing her recap of 2011. Better late than never, right? If you didn’t catch part one, head over here first and then click on back!

June was full of changes – I moved back to Connecticut and the slow realization that I was no longer a college girl set in. I spent loads of time traveling to and from NYC on the job hunt, before finally deciding to take a sales position at home (mostly to save my mula!) I changed my blog name from Taste + Style Files to the now Style Cusp and began to blog more, lots more.

I kicked off July with a holiday trip to Atlanta to visit my once again long distance boyfriend and even attended my very first MLB game at the Braves stadium.

The end of July brought our annual family vacation to Downeast Maine, one of the most peaceful places to spend a week by far filled with incredible views, fresh lobster, and loads of family.

The freshest lobster + clams you will ever have.

Yummy yummy.

August brought a rush of creative juices, and these ladies and I founded the newly organized Bloggers Night Out. We furiously planned our month away before September happened upon us and we threw our first rather successful event!

My grandparents also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, an incredible milestone and something I am so proud to be apart of. They are a wonderful example of love and commitment, two of the most selfless and caring people I know! Love you both!

In October, I landed a job at Nordstrom. November brought another trip to Philly, but this time to celebrate two friends marriage!

In December, BNO hosted two events in conjunction with Bloomingdales for the holidays –

I also celebrated my 22nd birthday, on top of the many holiday celebrations.

I have so much to be thankful for – in so many aspects. I have been blessed with a loving, close-knit family, a supportive boyfriend, and irreplaceable friends. I met a fabulous group of girls, became fast friends, and founded a company, something I only ever dreamed of doing. I traveled much more than the average person would, scoping the entire east coast and back, not once, but twice. And last but not least, I have and done all of this because of my loving God.

Thank you to each and every person who made 2011 the remarkable year that it was! I couldn’t be more thankful for the support I have received as I chase after my dreams wholeheartedly and found such passion for what I do. The emails, comments, and messages are true encouragement + keep me constantly motivated.
