I know that so many of you are attending NYFW, but I’m anxious to know exactly who! I decided a few weeks ago that I’d attend, along with my roommate and fellow ever-talented blogger Style Activist. We have been gushing over the details of our trip, anxiously planning all the events we are attending, and discussing which of our lovely blogger friends we are going to meet!
Obviously NYFW is about the fashion, runways, models, designers, etc.. Wait, she forgot something you ask? Yes, it’s about the bloggers. Helloooo fashion world! Watch out, cause here we come! Fashion Week has become a quintessential time for bloggers all over to connect, network, learn, and further our careers. This fashion week will be no different. So many events are organized just for bloggers – which ones are you attending?
1. The Lucky Magazine Fashion & Beauty Blog Conference
Lucky Magazine is hosting a conference a few days before FW ‘officially’ starts exclusively for bloggers. The conference is an all day event featuring various demos and learning panels presented by some of fashion’s top names. Ok, ready for this? Some of the presenters include the lovely Tory Burch herself, Jenna Lyons (who in case you don’t know is the President and Executive Creative Director of J. Crew), and Susie Bubble the spunky little blogger from Style Bubble. Sounds incredible, doesn’t it? Uhhh, yes. This is why I am going. Or well, more like hoping to go. Lucky has to first acknowledge that you are a blogger, send you a security key, and then you can purchase tickets: $100. (Yes, I’m a college student. Yes, I’m poor. Yes, I’m taking donations. 😉 hehe)

2. Independent Fashion Bloggers Evolving Influence
Jennine Jacob, founder of Independent Fashion Bloggers and writer of The (REAL) Coveted, organizes the largest Fashion Blogger conference with over 300 bloggers! IFB is held on February 10th at the Milk Studios (eeeeek!) in NYC. The conference itinerary has not been released yet, but bloggers far and near between know that some of the biggest blogger names will be in attendance speaking, conducting panels, and much more.

3. Foley + Corinna
Many of you have asked in response to my previous post sharing my new internship if I will have the opportunity to be in the actual office. The answer is YES! For one of the days I am in NY I will be at F + C’s main offices with the rest of their employees. I am entirely ecstatic for even another opportunity to be involved in this company! They don’t have a show this year, but FW will still, nonetheless, be busy for us!
4. Various Mixers & Events
I will also be attending various mixers and events held by boutiques and designers alike. These are perfect for extended networking and learning. I can’t wait! Many of us bloggers are also going to be meeting for the first time- so exciting! Are you attending any other events? Please, do share! I’d LOVE to join you. 🙂
New York is going to be frigid- be sure to dress warm with lots of layers and bring your gloves, gals! If you’re attending any of these events, please let me know. I’d love to meet up with each and every one of you, even if it’s only for a second!

Oh, I’ve been toying with the idea of attending, especially since it’s my birthday week! But, 1. I have no one to go with and 2. no where to stay! So, it’s looking like I’m either going to have to get lucky, or I’m going to have to miss out 🙁 So sad. If only I lived in NYC! Please take many, many, many photos, so I can live vicariously through you 🙂
