BLACK SWEATER // DL1961 SKINNY JEANS // LEOPARD LACE UP FLATS
FREE PEOPLE SCARF (IN SAND) // LE SPEC SUNNIES // BLACK FEDORA // HENRI BENDEL BAG (SIMILAR)
Happy Tuesday, everyone! The blog is going to be crazy busy the next few months as we’re officially in the holiday season. I’m kicking things off this week with a few of my closet favorites – that are really tried and true season after season. Accessories!
Accessories are really the glue that can pull your entire look together more often than not. Whether it’s dainty gold jewelry keeping things simple or an oversized blanket scarf making a statement, you’re pulling your look together in some way or another. I’m pretty simple when it comes to clothing – classic silhouettes, neutrals, chic tailoring, etc. and so I use my accessories to enhance the look while still staying within my style.
This black sweater is as basic as sweaters come, but great for layering or pairing with other pieces. I opted for darker sleek denim to keep the look clean (i.e. no rips or distressing), and leopard printed flats for a little ‘punch’. Pulling the look together proved really easy, adding in this chunky fringe trim Free People scarf (under $50!), a felted black fedora, and these Le Spec sunnies. I’ve talked about Le Specs a few times before, but in case you’ve missed it in the past – they’re my number 1 go to when it comes to buying eyewear. Designer quality for a fraction of the price. I most recently added this pair to my growing Le Specs Collection.
And now you’re wondering where in the world you’re supposed to buy all of this – between a scarf, hat, jewelry, and sunglasses.. I could easily send you searching high and low all over town. Enter Nordstrom – your one stop shop for all your accessory needs. I’m finding that I purchase more and more products from Nordstrom simply because the selection is 100% unparalleled anywhere else. I can get designer bags while scoring my Le Spec sunnies, or shop Free People while saving on headwear. Nordstrom covers a range of both brands and price points – making it suitable for literally every single one of our wallets.
And as a total added note – you NEED this scarf. It comes in a ton of colors and is the warmest scarf I currently own. I’ve worn it way too many times since getting it in the mail last week. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it’s the scarf of the season (move over plaid!)
