Motivation Monday // Encourage

I’m not sure if it’s as I’ve gotten older, where I’m at in life, the kind of person I am, or just the mere turn of a new year – but I’ve been so aware and keen on complaining and pessimism the past few months. I’ve found that I just plain don’t like being around a complainer (I’m not sure who would), and have made a point to separate myself from those who are chronic complainers. It literally becomes exhausting to be around those people, doesn’t it?
We all complain, criticize, and have those days where nothing seems to be going right. I get that – but I’m talking more than that. Why can’t we encourage, uplift, and talk about all the good going on, instead of always focusing on the negative?
Make it a point to be an encouraging person this week. You’ll be surprised how much of a difference it will make in not only your own life, but those you are around. People will actually like to be around you.
I am driven. I have goals. I have dreams. And I’m chasing all of them. The last thing I need is someone who’s going to put an ounce of doubt, negativity, or squash any of them with their words. I’m so thankful to say that the closest people to my in my life are my biggest encourager and cheerleaders. Take a step back and evaluate yours – are they? If they aren’t, maybe you need to do some weeding out.
Be an encourager this week – it will change your week!

I was just thinking about this the other day. The quote is so true!
