Now that the New Year is here and we’re out of the holiday schedule, I wanted to get back to posting my Monday Motivations. I’ve loved reading your emails/tweets/comments about these posts and some of them are actually my post popular to date (believe that?!). We’ve set goals, resolutions, and written down our dreams for the year, but as the days, weeks, and months, go by we’ll probably continue in a few bad habits and be looking at 2015 writing down some of the same things. To be honest, I started the Motivation Monday series mostly for myself – to publicly remind myself and ‘hold myself accountable’ to appreciate whatever phrase or mantra I’m sharing that week and work hard to ‘do better’ at it. You picking up what I’m throwing down?
When I saw these two words on pinterest, I immediately thought Motivation Monday, and couldn’t think of a better one to kick the year off with. I think ‘DO BETTER’ can apply for many of us for the whole year. I know I have a list of things I want to ‘do better’ at ..
getting to the gym
keeping my diet strict
sticking to my editorial calendar
managing my time
spend quality time with those I love
..and the list can go on and on. But rather than daunt yourself with a whole list of things that you (most) likely won’t change all at once, pick one thing this week you choose to be better at. Maybe it’s keeping your home clean and in order, or waking up when your alarm clock actually goes off (not on the 5th snooze.. guilty.) Whatever it is for you, do (it) better.
I’d love to hear what you’re going to work on doing better at this week- drop a comment or send a quick email!
