I don’t know about you guys, but I wasn’t ready for this weekend to end. I was on the go the entire time, and had no time to get myself organized and ready for the week – something I like to get done at least by Sunday. To kick off the weekend on Friday, I headed down to Westport, Connecticut – a quaint little town situated on the water – that has cute shops, delicious little eateries, and picturesque views. I stopped in the new flagship Lou & Grey store, and instantly was in love! Lou & Grey is a division of Ann Taylor/Ann Taylor LOFT, as you may have seen the label carried in the store. It’s a collection of comfy but classy basics, perfect for everyday wear when you want to be comfortable but look polished, whether it’s for daily errands or casual meetings. The store itself, represents the aesthetic so well with a light and airy feel, succulents lining the walls covered with prints, and lots of white. (hello, favorite!) If I could wrap up my style in a nutshell, it would be Lou & Grey to a T!
I tried on so.many.things. I don’t think I’ve ever tried on so many pieces in a store before. I ended up (somehow) narrowing it down to a few dresses that I know I’ll be living in and a lightweight romper. I couldn’t wait to wear the pieces, so I slipped in the striped one below on Saturday for a bridal shower + birthday party. I paired it with strappy heels and my new Lauren Cecchi bag (obsessed) for the shower and brought it down to sandals for the backyard birthday party. Everyone loved this dress too – I may or may not have gotten loads of friends hooked on L&G.

I love that dress – does it run true to size? What size did you get?
I got a S but could have fit in an XS – they just didn’t have it! I found alot of their items ran a tad big and I got alot of XS.
I’m a big fan of the Lou and Grey line, but it never quite fits me right. The dress looks lovely on you!

It ran a tad bit for me, but I just love the pieces! I like things oversized a little, so that worked to my advantage. The manager there let me know their buyer’s will be changing sizing orders in the next season or two as well, just FYI!
I need to have that dress! You look stunning, Marissa!
