Inspiration Monday

Readers I am back! Adventuring through Austin for a week was nothing short of fabulous fun. The beau and I want to move there permanently, we shall see what the next year has in store for us! I wish I had some pictures to share, but I have not yet uploaded them to my computer.. and amidst fighting off an eye infection for two days I slacked on adding to my photography collection for the week. Nonetheless, we had our fair share of memories that are stacked in my soul I assure you! From lots of tacos and Texas BBQ to finally experiencing froyo parlors again, I have to say Austin has some of the yummiest collections of food I have had in awhile. The city is full of hole in the wall type places that are unique to the city; you won’t find a chain restaurant I promise you! And everyone is dedicated to eating well and exercising often. My type of city? – YES! I will actually be returning in a few weeks to take care of some personal needs, I can’t say I hate it 🙂

And of course, how could I forget? Shopping. Oh the shopping. We spent last Wednesday at a designer outlet mall for nearly the entire afternoon, not returning home until 10 at night. I found more than I anticipated, and can’t wait to share some of my finds with you! We purchased so many items that they were packed in a large box and shipped- I’m eagerly awaiting their arrival this week! Thursday I found myself walking into a mall for the fourth, yes fourth, time by 5 o’clock. I without a doubt got my fair share of shopping done in just a few days, and found some staple pieces I have been searching so long for! So stay tuned!

In my online perusings today, I stumbled upon this photo from J.Crew (it’s either new, or I have not seen it yet somehow?!) I am such a sucker for sequins this season, and am still on the hunt for the perfect sequin top/skirt/sweater. However, I drew such inspiration from this photo! Denim & sequins? I think this is such a fash-abulous pairing that I have to admit I don’t think I would ever think to do. Wouldn’t you think so too?  I love the shirred waist on the skirt, and the ruffles on the tuxedo shirt exude that girly feel but still boy-friend inspired. I’m just in love.

How was your weekend?
XXXO.

YAY I am so excited that you love Austin so much!! I absolutely adore that city! And I love how their are no chain restaurants. It is def the best city in TX, the other cities here do not compare! You will have to keep me updated on if you do get to move there or not!
I love that photo of the sequins and denim shirt. I just love J.Crew in general though! They are amazing!!

if you move to austin will you be my stylist?? :)I’ve lived here for over 20 years and believe the shoppoing has improved vastly. I used to have to go out of town to get my fix.
