It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon here in Atlanta. It’s been wonderful spending time with my boyfriend’s family. We’ve been to nearly every mall in the surrounding area, which let me tell you, is A LOT. And boy am I loving every second of it! I spotted some vintage designer shops in downtown Buckhead the other day, and am going to spend an afternoon perusing them this week. I’ll be sure to let you know if I find any goodies. π
If you haven’t read part one of my 21st Birthday, what are you waiting for? Go read it for goodness sake! π
I promised I’d share some style shots of the day, and naturally I can’t let you lovely friends down! As I said in the previous post, my sister and I headed outside on an utterly frigid Connecticut morning to take a few shots before any of my festivities began. It was so cold, I could hardly take my coat off, but I managed to, just to take a few shots. I am almost positive I’m still frostbitten from it!
We had just had a light snow (light for Connecticut, that is) a few days earlier that still blanketed the ground beautifully. I just love when the snow looks like an enormous white sheet hovering over the ground. Unstomped on by children or animals, and not melting. It really is a stunning and calm sight!
These boots are uber-comfortable. They’re a bit a spin-off of cowgirl boots, which I totally love. I’m not a huge fan of the typical pointy-toed high cowgirl boots. So when I found these at Aldo, it was love at first site, and when I put them on I was sold! Since I knew I would be on my feet for much of the day, I wanted to wear these. The heel is the perfect height- not too high to where I couldn’t walk, and just enough to make me feel taller than my little 5’3 self!
Boots – Aldo
Dress – F21
Trench – Old Navy, ages ago!
Tights & Necklace – AEO
Pictured below is that crazy birthday hat I was describing in the last post. Don’t you love it? And look at those roses. Literally this was taken seconds after my boyfriend handed them to me!
These are the beautiful roses right as my boyfriend delivered them! π |
This dress is probably one of my favorite pieces this season. It’s so comfortable, and so versatile! I’ve worn it with an over sized sweater, alone, and with a blazer. The lace sleeves give it a girly feel, and paired with these floral design tights (which for some reason are hard to see in these photos) I only felt more girly! Just what I wanted on my birthday.
Here is a close up for those of you who have asked about my hair! I had my stylist trim the ends, just enough to take off the dead growth, and give me a full head highlight. What do you think?
XXXO,
M
