Well if it hasn’t been forever, then I don’t know how long it’s been. TOO long. But, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my week away from reality, soaking up Florida rays on the beach, pina coladas in hand. Today was my first day back to my laptop, after a whole 9 days away – can you believe that? It was a much needed break, though I did miss the blogosphere and chatting with you all!
I found myself in a panic as soon as we left Virginia because I forgot my inspiration notebook at home. This has now become my biggest fear by the way. One night this week I was up a little later than normal and had so many ideas coming to me, I scrambled to my desk to get them all down before I forgot! My little notebook’s pages were chock full with blogging goals, ideas, post ideas, and anything in between. My plan was to share some of these with you, but I guess they will just have to wait under I’m a bit more organized this week!
So, instead, I’m digging out some old outfit photos that I never posted from ohh.. say, about a month ago. It just got lost in the mix and thrown to the back burner with the NYFW Recap and all.
This outfit totally made me feel like a country girl, with the boots, shorter-but-high-waisted skirt, and the button down. And I am most definitely not a country girl. I glammed it up a bit with this sequin trimmed vest that I found for nearly nothing at Gap during their unreal winter sale (orig. $50, sale $6!).
I fully intend to get back on track by the end of this week. That is, get my bloglovin’ count down to at least 50, post a few times, and reply to comments. I totally need some cheerleaders this week, so if you’re interested, let me know. Coming back from vacation is never easy, especially when you’ve been sitting on a beach for a week, feeling like you’re in paradise!
I also wanted to let you all in on a little secret – some changes will be taking place here at the Files! They have been a work in progress, and a long time coming; I am so excited to get you all in on the fun! Be watching in the next few weeks for them to be revealed. I just KNOW you will love 🙂
