A Dose of (blogger) Inspiration.

The blogosphere has been bursting with incredibly inspiring posts this week, in all shapes and forms. Particularly though, I’ve been focusing on the outfit posts, drawing inspiration from other bloggers mixing of colors and textures. I’ve been posting a few to my tumblr (which I use as my all-purpose inspiration board), but decided to share them here as well.

I’ve been obsessing over brights lately. So much. And good thing they’re on the menu for the spring/summer! BEE, or Blair, of Atlantic-Pacific has successfully color-blocked with the brightest of the brights, creating an effortless look that just screams sunshine and summertime. Not to mention she transformed a dress into a top! Isn’t that genius? You can bet I’ll be trying it with some of my brights.

Taylor of Sterling Style has quickly become one of my favorite bloggers. She’s a fashion-loving-fitness-fanatic-glitter girl (sounds familiar, huh?) with a clear passion for the things she does. I am constantly drawing inspiration from her blog! I loved this ensemble of Taylor’s because she incorporated so many shades of neutrals, and yet it’s not “neutral overload”. There’s the perfect touch of color in the flowers in her skirt and the bright pink lipstick smacked on her lips. Oh, and not to mention that gorgeous clutch!

As soon as I saw this maxi on Julie from Sincerely, Jules I vowed to never complain I’m too short to wear a maxi again even though I love them. No, but seriously. This maxi is fabulous – can you believe it’s from H&M? I can. And sadly I’m nowhere near an H&M to go fetch one for myself. *siiiiiigghhhhhh.. The green jacket is perfect to throw over on a chilly night, or even to add some extra ooomph! In fact, as we speak, I’m wearing my green military-inspired jacket too. See, it’s meant to be. I just need the dress. 😉

Lucy of Lucy Laucht never ceases to amaze me with her creative ability to put an outfit together. She is constantly mixing colors of the same shade (if you will) and somehow pulling it off – just an extra push of inspiration for all of us to do the same. Here, she really focuses in on two colors – navy blue and tan. And yet, you aren’t bored with just those two colors – there’s texture, print, and different shades all incorporated into the outfit, creating a lovely ensemble that just, well.. works!

If you’re not already following these lovely ladies, I suggest you head over to their blogs and start! You’re missing out on loads of inspiration, in all it’s forms.
Where did you find your inspiration for the week?

Sorry for the complications with my commenting the past few days. I gave Disqus a try and it really disappointed me. I’ve moved back over to Blogger commenting, so none of you should have an issues anymore not being able to comment! Also, you do not need to have a blog to comment (some of you have asked me about this who are specifically visiting via Facebook). Just choose the appropriate option in the drop down list to do so! I’m jumping onto the colourful bandwagon too, and that first look perfectly fits the vibrant criteria! What a great example of colour blocking 🙂

I love following these ladies too! They inspire me to dress for myself and express my own sense of style, even if what I love isn’t what’s being shown in the shop windows of my local high street – and often, it isn’t! Your blog is lovely!
