Though I always hate to see summer go, there’s nothing quite as beautiful as a New England fall complete with crisp air, apple picking on the weekends, and fresh cider. Sadly, I have hardly had time to enjoy it since I’ve been working so much, so when I had the chance to take a breather and snap some photos outside last night I was more than excited to see leaves all over the ground.
As I mentioned here, I’ve been gravitating towards classics this fall, including lots of neutrals + classics. This basic chunky knit from the super sweet ladies of Shoppalu has been hanging in my closet, waiting for some cooler days to make its debut. And now that there’s finally a fall chill here in Connecticut, I’ve been able to wear it! It’s incredibly soft, and great for layering too – I threw on a long sleeved sweater over top to keep my arms warm in the morning on my drive to work.
Outfit Details: Sweater (Shoppalu), Skirt + Scarf (H&M), Tights (AEO), Boots (Nine West, old), Watch (Michael Kors)
Do you have basic you keep reaching for this fall? Or a color palette you’re obsessed with?

I love this! Very autumnal 🙂 The brown leather skirt with the cream is perfect

Such a perfect fall outfit; adore the sweater! Knits in chilly autumn weather are my favorite. I’ve mostly been layering lightweight pieces because all of my cold-weather clothes are still packed in storage during the move, but basically I’ve been fighting the urge to buy myself a whole new wardrobe for the season. Something about fall just makes me want to shop like mad, I don’t know why!
I agree with Casee, so perfect for fall.
I love the a symmetrical skirt – it is by far going to be mine – I will come and steal it!
SOO jealous of the fall colors there! 🙂 Southern Cali just doesnt get leaves changing like that! And I love your outfit! Ive been wearing a leopard scarf almost everyday. I’m obsessed
XO
Neutrals are always a go-to for me, but lately I’ve been leaning more and more towards mustards. I just love it!
Love that scarf on you! I wish our leaves would hurry up and change. Everything is still so green down here…
There is nothing about this outfit that I don’t L-O-V-E!!

My basic look this fall is definitely anything with leopard in it. I am ashamed at how much I already owned and how I keep buying it!!
nothing really beats a New England fall but I feel like the leaves just didnt have enough time to change colors. Oh well, you look super cute playing around in those leaves.
