Teddy coats are all the rage this year + I stumbled on this one above last week while shopping at Walmart.com for some holiday decor! How perfect is this? I discovered their new SCOOP line thanks to my girl Jenna and this teddy coat is part of the line. (I shared this turtleneck sweater on instagram the other day which is also part of the SCOOP collection + it’s a current fave!)

I also snagged these lace up combat boots – which if I’ve being totally honest, I wasn’t too sure about at first! I LOOVE the trend on other people but when I see it on myself, I haven’t been too confident I’ve loved it! But for $27, you can’t go wrong + it’s the perfect way to try a trend. Stylish, comfortable, affordable and guess what?.. I’ve worn them 3 times in the last week! So I think they’re keepers.

Tips for trying a trend:
– pick something you’re comfortable/familiar with about it – for me, the little heel on these made them feel more “me”!
– play it a little safe – this pair of combat boots isn’t all jazzy with buckles, hardware, etc. They’re pretty simple + easy to pair with my normal outfits without feeling too ‘edgey’!
