If you’re anything like me, you were ready and set on your couch this past weekend for the Golden Globes to start. The red carpet, that is. I love the idea of the red carpets more than anything and the hours of prep that go into walking that glam runway for a mere few minutes. There’s the intense blow out and the art of the perfect curl or sleek pony, the glossy makeup or muted lip, the nail color (dear gosh, can we just forget the mani cam please?) and oh.. of course, the dresses.
Did you have any favorite looks from the carpet? I fell for the bold tangerine colored cape dress Lupita wore, the standard big dress on Sofia Vergara, and loved newbie Margot Robbie’s glistening Gucci gown. I also took a liking to Zooey Deschanel’s nude two piece ensemble. At first, I wasn’t a huge fan, but then it grew on me – it stood out, flowed beautifully, and had a trendy twist with the cropped top and full skirt.
I decided to recreate the look – I love head to toe nude and felt so inspired by her ensemble with a little bit of glitz in it. What do you think?
