Spicy Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos

Happy Friday! I decided to share my (so simple) recipe for the shrimp tacos after last night’s instagram that got so much buzz! So many of you have asked so I figured it would be better to just share it here than send it out so many times. (right click to save the recipe image to your computer too!)

See? So simple! It’s my favorite summer meal to make – especially when I’m on the go and don’t have much time. If you prefer not to use tortillas, use stalks of romaine and fill in the mixture. Yesterday I was in the mood for a real taco so I grabbed some corn tortillas – but they taste just as yummy in a lettuce boat!

To make the fresh guac simply take an avocado, chopped red onion, jalapeño, tomato, cilantro, salt, pepper, squeezed lime juice and mix all together. Amounts are really to your liking – I like mine chunky so I use a lot of onion/jalapeño/tomato. If you like it a bit smoother then use less of those ingredients. Same for the lime + cilantro – the more you put in the stronger it will be.

Stay cool in this weekend heat if you’re on the East Coast + if you end up making the tacos, let me know! Upload a photo to instagram and tag me (@stylecusp) – or use the hashtag #SCRecipes!

Ooh – thanks for posting! This sounds delicious, and I always crave Mexican when it’s this hot out. (Though cooking when it’s this hot is another matter.) Hope you’re staying cool and enjoying your summer, Marissa!
