While I’m enjoying a little weekend getaway in Maine, I have McKel Hill from Nutrition Stripped bringing you all a fabulous, refreshing smoothie recipe for this week’s bar post! She loves avocados and tea just as much as I do and is a closet fashion lover. This lady knows her stuff + is passionate about helping YOU get healthy! Give her a warm welcome, pop over to her site for more recipes + enjoy!

Hi, everyone! I’m McKel Hill (MS, RD, LDN) and I’m a self-proclaimed green smoothie connoisseur, foodie, nutrition science nerd, lover of avocados, who has an affinity for plants and enjoys a nice cup of tea anytime of day.

I’m passionate about nutrition, wellness, and of course, food! I believe in taking an individualistic/holistic approach to coaching: meaning all my recommendations are tailored specifically to each individual in an attempt to reach their optimum health and ultimately lead to a longer, healthier, and happier life!

Nutrition Stripped focuses on nutrition information/research integrated into simple and delicious recipes, all while learning a thing or two about nutrition. It’s your stripped-down guide to living an unprocessed lifestyle with no expiration date.

McKel made a Triple Berry smoothie for us this week. How DELICIOUS does this look?

Triple Berry Smoothie
A very berry-licious smoothie with triple the berries! Raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries (and with something green of course).

Ingredients
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen organic raspberries
  • ¼ cup frozen blueberries
  • ¼ cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 handful of spinach (add in as much as you like!)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Vega Sport, optional)
Instructions
  1. Simply combine all ingredients into a high speed blender or food processer until thick and creamy!
  2. Pour into a tall glass.
  3. Add in a straw.
  4. ENJOY!

Just in case anyone wants to know this smoothie is around approximately 273 calories (using organic spinach and berries, and perfect fit protein powder). 🙂
