Day 1 of NYFW consisted of intense humidity resulting in obnoxiously frizzy hair, makeup that nearly melted, and sticky clothing. Oh, and the IFB Conference – I almost forgot about that one. My usual blonde locks look a bit fuller than normal, and I’m sitting here asking myself if that’s even possible?! Leave it to the weather to pick NYFW as the one week it sabotages. But really.
I’m super excited for this post, as it’s my first full outfit post on the blog with my new gal, Celine! Don’t you all just love her? She was the perfect carry all for my NYFW adventures – especially for the IFB Conference (packed with my iPad, water, business cards, and a few other necessities).
It’s a good thing I opted to wear a lightweight dress and simple blazer to the conference. As soon as I saw this jacket at H&M I knew it had to be mine – and it was the perfect pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. It flew right off my back though, I won’t lie! I’m also a super huge fan of these Nine West heels I scored on insane sale last season. They’re the most comfortable pair I own and perfect for an on-your-feet-all-day kind of day!
IFB was a long and exhausting first day of NYFW – but I learned so much from the first panel, featuring the beautiful Mary Alice. This woman has been in the industry for over 30 years (Though you’d never guess it) and provided so much knowledge to each of us. I was grateful to snap a picture with her following the panel! I plan to share some of the details from the panels in a later post for you all – there were some amazing tips, tricks, and great things to know for us bloggers!
