Whoa. Hello there, friends. It’s been quite awhile, hasn’t it? In case you’re wondering where I’ve been, it’s inside this lush faux fur coat. On the cold days that is – quite a warm December isn’t it? I’m somewhat disappointed in the month of my birth (yes, it’s the 29th in case you need to know 😉 hehe). I’ve been looking forward to pulling out my chunky knit sweaters and layers up over leggings and tights, and have yet to really do that.
Instead, I’ve been settling for silk dress shirts + my new favorite Cafe capri J. Crew pants. Actually, it’s hardly settling. This pairing is oh-so-comfortable I could nearly sleep in it. The perfect combo for long pre-holiday days at work, filled with lots of running around and catering to customers. The cafe’s are wool, providing just enough warm, but not tooo much. And I can’t even begin to explain my obsession with silky button down at the moment. They’re the first thing I reach for, and end up being the only thing I ever want to wear. They’re such a versatile piece – I’ve worn them with blazers, tucked into skirts, with these capri pants, under dresses..you name it! If your closet is lacking, I suggest you stock up! I snagged this satin purple clutch while starting my holiday shopping a few weeks back for a wedding I attended over Thanksgiving weekend. It’s the perfect deep hue of purple + I loved the statement zipper across the top! It actually opens up to a pocket too, which is so convenient in a clutch!
My sister + I experimented with taking photos a little later in the day – sometimes, that’s the only option I have with this crazy work schedule! Not exactly what I had hoped, but not awful. Lots of experimenting is in the works 🙂 I’m crossing my fingers for a new sparkling camera for Christmas! What’s on your list?
