NIKE KICKS

I love workout gear about as much as I love regular clothes. Even when I’m working from home, you’ll often find me in a pair of workout capris with a v-neck or oversized sweater of some kind. I recently got hooked on Athleta gear after first getting a few pieces back in February – so when Athleta asked if I’d feature some of their new collection on the blog, I of course said yes! I headed into the store last week the day after their new line was set out. I loved the bright colors, especially this bright coral zip up I’m wearing. You must head in to check it out.

As the seasons change, so do my workouts. I don’t run as much in the colder months – one: because there’s so much snow on the ground and two: it’s just too dang cold! Around April/May, I pick up running outside a few times a week, even if it’s just a mile or two. I love the fresh air! I’m also addicted to barre workouts – I try to make one a week. And on a regular schedule, I go to my local cross training gym – we focus on strength circuits 3 days a week and cardio/HIIT circuits 2 days a week.

Staying in shape is so important not just for your physical health, but also your mental. I’m so much happier, energetic, and even more organized when I’m in a consistent workout routine. Since my back injury last year, it’s been a slow process getting back into the swing of things, but I was able to get back at it in November and haven’t looked back!
