Style // Mixing Prints

Yes, it’s happening. The daunting print mixing! And guess what? It’s really not too hard at all. I totally forgot about this awesome J.crew skirt until I saw Liz wearing it in a photo somewhere on the web. It was one of those aha! moments and I knew exactly what I’d pair it with for Mother’s Day lunch. I’m always so picky about mixing prints, but instantly loved this combination when I picked it out of my closet. Here’s my tips for print mixing:

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and celebrated your moms. We had a relaxing family lunch outside before I snuck away to take some outfit snaps beneath these gorgeous flowering trees in our front yard. Whenever the wind blew, hundreds of little petals came fluttering down – it was like snow of flowers!

Style Cusp is wearing: H+M dress worn as shirt (similar) // J.Crew Skirt (similar) // Kate Spade bag (old) // ALDO heels (old, but so similar to these J.Crew ones!) // Jewelry all c/o Sorrelli // Target sunnies //

This is such a pretty combination of prints! I like that the print of the skirt is a little more subtle. Such a beautiful place for photos too!

i have a peplum from H&M in that print – i LOVE it. i have been dying to put together an outfit like this but have been so afraid. you rock it, OMG! i have a seafoam skirt with some white polka dots and i want to pair it with a printed top. you have inspired me to play with some outfits because i have plans friday night i could wear it to! i will have to look for a neutral printed top.
