I rarely ever take time fully away from work, but for this trip to Austin I decided to just let go a little. I posted daily on instagram and shared a lot of fun behind the scenes on snapchat, but other than that I completely disconnected. It was so needed. February/March were both insane months and before heading to Austin I was feeling so worn out and unmotivated – I think the cold had something to do with it too! Disconnecting and just taking time to enjoy myself while away was so refreshing. I came back home ready and wanting to work (really!) with so many new ideas and fresh motivation to get them done.

Austin is seriously such a blast. It’s one of my favorite spots to visit (this is my fourth visit!), between the amazing food, warm weather, and my killer family! I also got to spend time with two of the sweetest girls, Jessi and Courtney, who both have incredible businesses but are just downright real.. which I love.

What did I do in Austin? Ate out more times than I can count. Laughed, cried, and laughed til I cried.. Drove with the windows down and sang at the top of my lungs. Went skeet shooting for the first time (and killed it!). Let things go and felt so liberated. Got back on my running game. Found motivation. Furthered friendships and found new ones.

You know when you take a trip and it just changes you? I feel like this one to Austin did just that for me, but I didn’t fully realize it until putting this post together. Watch out world.. I think the best is just starting to come. #texasyall
