Bringing you back to my Ireland coverage of The Retreat this week – I’ll be recapping day 4 and 5! Day 4 holds a special place in my heart. We had a free morning to ourselves so Jess and I had a slow morning, catching up on sleep and enjoying the amazing breakfast at The Marker Hotel. As I’m sure all of you know, I have a slight obsession with tea so when I realized our afternoon activity included an afternoon high tea at the renowned Merrion Hotel, I nearly died! We arrived to the hotel and had a tour of the art and beautiful gardens. Some of my favorite pieces of art from The Retreat were at the Merrion Hotel – one being the piece above that is a mix of ‘familiar locations’ around the world, but not one specific place. If you look close, the middle portion of the painting is reminiscent of the Ponte Vecchio. After our art tour, we headed inside to the gorgeous art tea rooms – we enjoyed the most incredible mix of savories and sweets (yes, they had an entire gluten free tray for me!). Each afternoon, the chef creates 3 sweets that are inspired by pieces of art in the hotel – see the photo above.. so cool!

After our afternoon at the Merrion, we headed out and around the corner (passing so many amazing doors of Dublin) to the home and studio of designer Louise Kennedy. It was absolute heaven. I decided to share photos from her studio in my Ireland recap post since there’s too many to choose from, so stayed tuned!

I wore this flowy floral dress from Luisa Via Roma with lace up flats for our day of art, tea, and fashion. Luisa Via Roma is one of my new shopping destinations for those coveted luxury designer pieces. They have an incredible selection of designer handbags and shoes – see some of my favorites down below! If you are going to attend the Merrion for high tea, I suggest dressing up a bit – this Yvonne dress was the perfect piece! And it allowed for a little room with all the yummy sandwiches I ate.. I wore my lace up flats non stop throughout the trip – you can see them from day 1 and day 3.

This trip is perfect for you and a special someone to enjoy a luxury oriented travel time or for you and your close group of girlfriends to get away – and not have to think about what you’re going to do.

Tea time is just spectacular! It’s always one of my favorite rituals when traveling, I’m so living vicariously through you. Have two servings for me! 🙂
