So You Think You Can Quit?

The week after getting home from vacation was silly crazy, like really crazy. I was hardly home and my apartment was a disaster. Unpacking? Yeah, definitely not. Time to eat? Barely. But you know what? I was really loving every second of it because I was doing the things I loved on my own time – not having a job to be at 90% of the week. I’ve realized now over the past few months more than ever how precious my time really is, and how I want to spend it doing what I love, with who I love, and really wherever I love. I’ve been working hard on building up Style Cusp – I hope you’ve noticed 😉 and am working behind the scenes on making a business go, get up, and get running.

Lots of changes have been taking place on the ‘back end’ of things if you will – the face of Style Cusp here on the web has stayed the same, but everything back here, in my little ole’ apartment, has been drastically changing. And I think for the remainder of the year it will continue that way.
Blogging is hard work. (yes, I said it.) Planning for blogging is hard. Planning a business is hard. Building a business is hard.
Just wanted to send a little shout of encouragement to all of my fellow business owners, adventurers, and builders today – you aren’t alone in what you do and I know it isn’t easy! Keep at it, no one will make it happen except you. Put in the hours of hard work, the late nights, stick through the days you want to pull your hair out, go take a break, do whatever you have to do to make it work. Remember, it doesn’t work unless you do

I just wrote a post on my blog about how sad I was feeling and how you have to pick yourself back up sometimes and do what is necessary. Thank you so much for writing this. Made me feel so much better 🙂

I love this and I need to focus on this because sometimes I get incredibly discouraged and I just need to keep at it.

Thank you, this post was very inspirational! I’ve only been blogging for a year and a half, but I agree it is HARD WORK! And a lot of my non-blogger friends & family don’t realize that. I love working on my blog, but have a difficult time explaining to people why exactly I’m “so busy”. I also have plans to venture into small business owning (right now I’m starting small with a recently opened shop on Society6), and I can’t wait to hear about more of your business plans!

I agree, blogging is hard work! I’m glad someone said it as people tend to think it’s just fun and fluff. Your blog is great!
