I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to fully appreciate fashion and the retail industry without actually working it. Everyday shoppers do not realize, or see, the work that is put into the presentation of a line’s clothing.

As a three year employee of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. it has been my pleasure to experience this firsthand from the first week I worked. From meeting the CEO of this large clothing company, from 12 hour all night floorsets, to the daily folding of everything down to boyfriend tanks, it has been nothing short of learning and exhausting at the same time.

Last night, we commenced our Back to School 2010 Floorset. Our mission was to finish the entire women’s side with the new presentations. Teams were assigned to the tables and walls.
Here’s my favorite fall find:

After a day filled with nothing but sleeping, thanks to my black super soft lambs wool eye mask, its time for night 2! Let’s hope a little caffeine and determination will suffice to finish this up!
