I first want to take a quick second and thank everyone for the tremendous love and support on my new blog and redesign! It is encouraging and such a reaffirmation of my desire and efforts in unveiling Style Cusp! Thank you, thank you π
Last Wednesday, I jetted off to Atlanta for the week to visit my boyfriend. After an entirely insane day of travel (you don’t even want to hear what happened!) I finally made it safe & sound. With such a long day of travel, I was happy I had chosen a comfortable, yet still stylish, outfit to wear!
One of the best and worst things about trips is packing, or what you pack. It is absolutely necessary to pack compactly, keeping your essential pieces in mind. I usually start out with a blank notepad and write down the essentials that I know I want or need to bring. Then, based on that list, I pack other items that go with them, such as accessories, shoes, etc. It’s usually best to start with basics for bottoms and then spruce them up with your tops – think bright colors and prints.
With days in the 90’s and nights in the 80s, I knew I needed to pack lightweight pieces that are easy to wear in the heat. Nearly all the pieces I packed were skirts and dresses, with a few shorts to remix with some tops. Oftentimes, I’ll wear one outfit in the day, and slip into a dress at night when we go out to dinner or a ride downtown.
Lots of printed tops and dresses |
Textured solids: Linen, cotton, chambray, and lace. |
Patterned/Pleated Skirts |
Along with some flip flops, wedges, and statement jewelry, I was easily packed with more than enough outfits and remixes. Stay tuned for a few more installments of my trip in Atlanta!
xx

I loved everything you packed! So chic, girly and glam (aka totally your style!). I used to be a complete disaster when it came to packing but I’ve slowly gotten a lot better. No longer am I ‘that girl’ who just throws her favorite pieces into a suitcases and calls it good. π
But I could still use a couple of these pointers. Now I can’t wait to see photos of your trip! Although I still can’t believe you came out empty handed from ZARA… π

I hope you had a good time in Atlanta! i like all of the colors!
Love you,
