My favorite place is by far my kitchen. Whether it’s a quick morning breakfast or a long, hard cooked meal, I find relaxation, excitement, creativity, and joy every single day there. It’s my little comfort space in the quite morning moments, or my escape from the busyness and sometimes stress of a long day. Ever since I was in middle school, I told my mom I wanted to be a chef of some sort or have my own cooking show – and sometimes, in some ways, I already do – even if I’m the only one there watching (for now).
I’m always perusing the web (mainly pinterest) lusting after kitchens that I hope to model mine after someday. While my preference and overall aesthetic for my kitchen has definitely changed with time, there’s always been one common factor: BIG. My kitchen will always be the room in my apartment/house that I spend the most time in and for that reason alone it needs to be one that is full of space. A close second factor is light.
