Mini Home Tour

Style-Cusp-Blogger-Home-Tour

This post has been along time coming and I am so thrilled to finally be sharing a tiny glimpse into my apartment with you guys! As you may remember, I moved in back in October with essentially a clean slate when it came to furniture and decor. I had nothing! I’ve been working hard the last few months to pick pieces I truly love and will have for years. My main goal was to not just fill it up with cliche pieces or the first thing I found. I wanted my new home to be a reflection of me, but also something that could grow and go with me in the coming years.

The very first thing I purchased when I moved in was my couch. (True story: I was using my memory foam folded up in fourths for 5 weeks!) I found my couch at Raymour and Flanigan after searching endlessly online and at tons of furniture stores. I actually wasn’t too sure if I really loved it at first, but it was the closest thing to what I was picturing. Turns out, I love it – it’s the perfect neutral shade and super comfy.. currently typing from the said couch as we speak!

You guys may remember seeing a little bit of my dining area in this post from the fall. It’s slowly but surely coming together – most recently with the addition of this gorgeous circular wall mirror. My mom actually spotted it when we were couch shopping at Raymour and Flanigan months ago, and said it would be great in my dining room. But I totally dismissed the thought – fast forward to now and I just went and picked it up this past week. The mirror fits in the space perfectly and adds so much character to the dining area!

I’m sure you guys have seen little glimpses here and there on snapchat of my bedroom, and I’ll be sharing the full room soon. But here’s just a tiny little peek! The latest addition to my room is this beautiful Safavieh chair. Safavieh is one of my favorite home decor and furniture companies – they’re carried at a large variety of retailers from discount to high end. I actually had no idea this piece was Safavieh when I ordered it, so was SO pleasantly surprised to find that Raymour and Flanigan carried them too! When the chair arrived in a Safavieh box, I was so excited. The chair is actually darker in person than as pictured on the website. At first I wasn’t too sure, but it fills this little corner in my bedroom perfectly. This last week it has collected clothes and things as I’ve been organizing – but I plan to cozy up in the morning and do my journaling there.

SIDE TABLES // LAMPS

I got these side tables around the holidays and at first wasn’t sure they would work in my space (again, you probably saw the side table saga on snapchat!) I ended up getting some decor advice from my girlfriend Jillian and they turned out perfectly! Since then, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect lamps. I brought home fun leopard ones from Homegoods but they just didn’t go. I knew I needed something that was large and statement-like. When I spotted these round gray lamps, I knew they’d work perfectly!

I’m working on furnishing our new place and needed some new home decor spots to checkout — sounds like I need to browse Raymour & Flanigan! Your couch is so pretty!

Thanks so much! My couch sadly has since been discontinued, but I know it’s at some of their outlet locations for almost half price if you check! 🙂
