MADEWELL PLAID TOP// RIPPED BLACK JEANS (ALSO THESE) // BOOTIES

BACKPACK // SUNNIES // WATCH

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a huge plaid gal – it just reminds me of a picnic table and I feel like I belong in the cast of little red riding hood or something.. seriously. But this fall, I found the perfect plaid at Madewell and didn’t look back. From the fit to the color combo, I was totally sold on this plaid top (I also love this one) – not to mention it was on sale when I got it! When it comes down to it, finding the right plaid is like finding the right wedding dress (at least for me). There’s only a certain one or two that might work. So moral of the story, when you find the right plaid – buy it!

I wore this fall plaid with cutoffs a few weeks back and obviously with my ripped black jeans here. I also packed it along for London this week and will probably throw my staple tan trench over it for a day of sight seeing! I actually ended up packing every single piece in this outfit, but plan to mix, match, and wear them in lots of ways over the course of my trip. You can’t go wrong with a classic black bootie and sleek ripped denim – so many ways to wear them.

I NEED to get those jeans! And you’re right plaids are a tricky beast. I tend to do the best in black-watch.

Gotta love plaid shirts, I have a feeling that they’re always “in fashion” and I always love to wear them. 🙂

Love the look! Plaids are actually a favorite of mine. I find if I stick to a red family plaid, it usually works. 🙂

This is pretty much my fall uniform. I love plaid shirts–I have way too many of them!
