As much as I dislike the cold-clad months of fall through winter, there's something about a pure Connecticut fall weekend that makes my heart skip a beat. I haven't been in CT for a full fall in a few years (thanks to college) and I honestly forgot how beautiful this suburban area turns. I missed the apple picking weekends, fresh cups of apple cider, the crunch of leaves under your feet, and the 900 shades of yellow, orange, and red all of the leaves turn. Here's just a tiiiiny glimpse of those leaves for you - and it isn't even peak weekend yet!
I snatched this sweater up at the J.Crew clearance store back in my good ole' alma mater city - we have one of the 2 J.Crew call centers and warehouses, so we are the gracious recipients of thousands of pieces of clothing that are one of a kind samples, inventory overloads, and more. Cue: my obsession with this sweater. I'm not even going to tell you how many times I've worn it!
I threw it one this time for a fun fall day trip to a local winery with some fabulous girlfriends who were visiting for a weekend getaway from NYC! We had such a blast and it was a gorgeous day.

ReplyDeleteAmazing look! I never wore yellow often because I always felt like it was harder for a blonde to pull it off (when I was younger I always said it made me look like a banana). However you're inspiring me to try it again because you look incredible. Oh how I love that fur, I remember seeing you wearing it during our dinner date and I was like holy crap, this is a fashion blogger haha. PS I texted you about another dinner date!

The other J.Crew warehouse is about an hour away from me! Love it SO much. Just went to their warehouse sale this past weekend & got some amazing stuff. Love that yellow on you, gorgeous sweater!
