NYFW: Lucky FABB Style

My second day at NYFW consisted of attending Lucky FABB, the exceptional Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference hosted by the magazine. This year was their biggest yet, with just about 300 bloggers in attendance and featured speakers including Rachel Zoe and Lauren Conrad. I'll share more about the conference in my next post! For now, here's my outfit of choice for the conference. 

I had been searching and searching for the perfect little black leather shift dress (phew, that's a mouthful!) and finally found it about a week before the conference at none other than Nordstrom. I ordered it, since we don't carry it at my store and rush shipped it, hoping it would fit like a glove. And guess what? It did. As soon as I slipped into the dress when it arrived, I knew it was a winner. I have a slight crush on the low back, and the stretchy side paneling makes it extremely comfy - perfect for a long day at the conference!

Lucky FABB day was another super humid, sticky day. Luckily we spent the entire day inside, besides snapping these outfit photos. It was still a messy hair and makeup day! I didn't get to take advantage of the Beauty bar they had for hair and makeup touch ups either. Shoulda Woulda!

I was also soo excited to wear these shoes. I had been drooling over them ever since they arrived at work (Nordstrom) and I waited until they went on sale to make them mine. This was the first full event I wore them to and can honestly say they were super comfortable. I think I can attribute that to the thicker heel :) I won't lie though, on our way to dinner, I slipped into my comfy Yosi Samra flats! (If you don't have a pair, you should.)
